Sleep is vital for our physical and mental well-being and an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. A lack of sleep can affect your relationships, your productivity at work and your quality of life. The key to a good night’s sleep is comfort.
If you’re not sleeping well, it could be because your queen mattress isn’t up to the job of keeping you cool and comfortable all through the night. When it comes to getting a good night’s sleep, not just any old mattress will do. It has to be the right mattress.
Ecosa, an Australian manufacturer of quality latex and gel memory foam mattresses, says the right mattress will have the perfect balance of the right materials. It will also support your spine, keep you cool, provide pressure relief, relieve body aches, provide bounce and not disturb your partner when you move during the night. It will also be affordable, but not so cheap the manufacturer has to compromise on quality.
Which Type of Mattress?
Memory Foam
Memory foam provides extraordinary support and comfort. These mattresses are topped with a layer of temperature-sensitive viscoelastic material. As it’s a type of foam, you should sink into it and feel your weight absorbed, taking pressure off your joints and increasing circulation. However, normal memory foam mattresses can feel hot. Ecosa uses Gel Memory foam. It has all of the features of traditional memory foam but the centre core is layered with high-density gel infused memory foam which has a cooling effect. It also gives the foam more strength so you won’t sink in the bed too deeply.
Customers of Ecosa have raved about their Get Memory Foam Mattress. Here’s what just a few of Ecosa’s customers are saying:
“Not too hard and not too soft, totally amazing! Thanks Amanda S at Ecosa for all your help and patience. Great Matress, Great Price, Great Service and most important Great Sleep.”
“This is the most comfortable mattress I have ever experienced. Before buying and installing the Ecosa mattress, my husband would toss and turn all night, waking me up in the process. With Ecosa, he tosses around less or I am in such a deep sleep that I do not feel it ”
“Amazing Mattress, Cant sleep without it! I never wake up sore like I used to, it is so great for getting a full unsettled nights sleep and amazing quality too for such a reasonable price.”
Continuous or Open-coil
Continuous coil mattresses are made from a single piece of wire looped into springs and open-coil mattresses are made of single springs fixed together by one wire. These mattresses are cheaper but because the springs move as one unit the mattress is less responsive to your body, and any tossing and turning is likely to disturb your partner. The coils also wear out more quickly and will need to be replaced sooner than some of the other types of mattresses.
Latex Foam
Latex foam moulds to your body shape and is more durable. The materials breathe, so they are a good option for those prone to allergies and there’s less chance of overheating. Latex also doesn’t harbour dust mites. The Ecosa mattress has a comfort layer with continuously poured dunlop latex with pin-core holes, giving you the most breathable, supportive and bouncy mattress.
Pocket-sprung
A pocket-sprung mattress has up to 3000 springs sewn into individual fabric pockets. They offer good support by distributing your body weight evenly. However, they can be heavy to turn, and as they’re filled with natural materials, these type of mattresses can exacerbate allergies.
According to a survey by the Australian consumer organisation CHOICE, while people who spend less than $500 are significantly less happy with their mattress, once the price exceeds this amount, the level of customer satisfaction remains the same, whether you spend $600 or $2,000+ – proving that the most expensive mattress isn’t the best.
Ecosa latex and gel memory foam mattresses are priced from $599 for a single up to $999 for a king size. There is also a grand king size available for $1,299.
