Purse-onality: What Your Bag Says About You

Fashion is all about radiating your personality. The clothes and accessories we drape ourselves in are others’ way of working out who we are as individuals. So let’s focus on handbags.

Your bag can say all sorts about you. From the size, colour, shape and the way you carry it, people can deduce a lot about your personality. So let’s have a look at some women’s firm handbag favorites and look at what it says about them.

The Clutch

Clutch bags are the bane of some people’s lives. Appropriately named, the bag needs to be clutched all night, as there aren’t any straps to help you out. However, the clutch can say a lot more about its owner than suggesting sheer patience, dedication and a strong, firm grip. Clutches are minimal. They’re generally small and don’t have much room for hoarding belongings. A woman with a clutch knows that she needs nothing else than her phone, credit card and maybe a lipstick on a night out. Women who favor the clutch are no-nonsense and to the point. If this sounds like you then Visit Websites that offer a full range of daring clutches.

Bum Bag

Not many people can work the bum bag. If you see a woman with one of these, she’s either on her way to a festival or a rave, an avid middle aged tourist or perhaps an employee of Urban Outfitters. But that’s not to say the bum bag is without its uses. No hands needed, it will hold your essentials securely.

Briefcase

Usually briefcases scream businesswoman. But not necessarily anymore. Some beautiful vintage briefcases can also indicate the owner’s love of thrift store shopping and a shabby chic aesthetic. They’re convenient and spacious. Inside there’s plenty enough room to hold your laptop, money and a whole host of not-so-essentials.

The Satchel

The satchel is like a toned-down briefcase. Formal turned casual, the satchel now comes in so many designs that there’s one out there for everyone. Browns and blacks suggest a traditional and muted individual, while bright oranges, zesty greens and sunshine yellows hint towards a more controversial, bright and energetic person.

The Rucksack

The creative’s favorite. There’s a good chance that this person is an arts student. The contents of their rucksack is probably 99% paper in the form of half-read books being swiftly carted swiftly back to the library to avoid a fine. That or maybe she’s a freelancer who needs to take her own laptop to work. This is a cute and functional look that goes down very well with a cute pixie bob and a hot coffee in hand.

Cross-body Bags

This is a woman on a mission. The cross-body bag completely frees up your hands, which suggests a no-nonsense, hands on approach to life. The wearer of a cross body bag is here to get things done while wasting as little time and effort as possible.

The Bucket Bag

The bucket bag. What it holds in its deep, dark depths, only the owner knows. This bag suggests a fondness for carrying more than the bare necessities in an unorganized, care free way.
