Evette finished her final exams in 2013 and became accredited as a family lawyer. Impressively, she was the only one out of seventeen other family lawyers who successfully completed accreditation in that year. The accreditation course identifies experts in the field of family law and recognises them for their ability to navigate difficult legal disputes.

Evette takes pride in the work she’s able to provide to clients in difficult periods of their lives and often helps without regard for a client’s financial situation.

Kym Marie Bush

kymRecently celebrating 20 years of service as a solicitor in the Queensland area, Kym began her career at a general practice firm, specialising in family law. Kym has since moved between small and medium sized firms to further her family law practice.

Kym is passionate about navigating relocating children to safe environments, arranging new living situations for children, coordinating plans with families for division of assets, and finding ways to work with Independent Children’s Representatives to find new homes for distressed children.

To operate as a powerful advocate for children, she has recently taken the Independent Children’s Lawyer coursework and pursued additional certifications where possible to be as knowledgeable in the field of family law as possible.

Natasha Shorter

natashaLeader of the criminal law division at the firm, Natasha also acts as a family law solicitor. Natasha has maintained a passion for social issues and civil rights in Queensland. She transferred these passions into law and began fighting for clients who she believed had been mistreated.

In addition to her leadership skills, Natasha has set herself apart as an expert in the Federal Court System and the Supreme Court, District, and Magistrates jurisdictions. In her time working in these array of positions, she handled everything from minor traffic violations to massive criminal trials. It was during her years moving between jurisdictions that she began working with the children and property aspects of family law.
