Australian snow-boarding legend and Olympic Gold medallist, Torah Bright (pictured) has returned home to enjoy the best snow conditions in more than a decade – and to lead the Thredbo campaign to encourage more Australians to experience a snow holiday in 2014.
The two-time Olympian who was born in Cooma NSW, but now lives and trains in Salt Lake City, Utah in the United States, says “It’s so nice to be home and enjoy these unbelievable snow conditions in Thredbo. They are some of the best I’ve ever seen.”
Thredbo’s partnership with Torah Bright coincides with the release of Thredbo’s ‘National Winter Report’ which reveals that there are a huge number of Australians who are interested in experiencing a snow holiday (78%), despite never having skied or snowboarded (60%) or in some cases never even seen or touched snow (20%).
To encourage first timers to experience the amazing snow conditions on offer, Thredbo has released a special first timer package where any first time skiers and snowboarders will receive a free day – including lift pass, ski or snowboard lessons and gear rental – when they book a first timer package. The offer will be available for the rest of the 2014 winter season. Conditions apply so see the website at www.thredbo.com.au for details.
