Austrivia Quiz

So think you know the Land Down Under? From geography to pop stars, find out just how much you really know about Australia (no Google-ing) by taking the Austrivia Quiz – a fun, multiple choice trivia quiz by Austravel.

With almost 40 years of experience in providing unforgettable holidays down under, Austravel knows Australia. They specialise in designing holidays in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific and as part of the largest tourism and services group in the world, Austravel are ABTA, ATOL and IATA bonded, so you when travel you can be confident that you will not be left stranded.

Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific offer visitors a wide array of holiday choices – from stunning beaches to vibrant cities, to island escapes and luxury cruises.

The Australian Outback

Holidays in Australia’s Red Centre are where you will encounter Uluru, Kata Tjuta and The Olgas. The Red Centre is the informal name given to the southern desert region of the Northern Territory and it’s the oxidized iron in the soil that gives the area its distinctive red colour. Uluru (Ayres Rock) is Australia’s most recognisable natural icon and is of significant cultural importance to the traditional Aboriginal owners, the Anangu people.

The Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest coral reef, containing 1,500 species of fish and 4,000 molluscs. Of all the things to do in Cairns, exploring the Great Barrier Reef is an absolute must. Swim with dwarf minke whales off Port Douglas and meet turtles while you snorkel or dive to explore the reef further.

With the Great Barrier Reef comes many opportunities for adventure; various types of dive show you the different marine life you can encounter in this vast underwater world. Descending into the depths from giant Coral Sea walls, seeing the annual coral spawn, and night-time dives with reef sharks are all possible on holidays to Cairns.

Sydney Harbour

With the Harbour Bridge and Opera House as backdrops to this vibrant, global city, holidays to Sydney are a must when visiting Australia. Gaze at the iconic Opera House or head inside to enjoy one of its many live shows. Cycle across the Harbour Bridge or the more adventurous can take part in the Bridge Climb – a truly spectacular experience and boasts unrivalled, panoramic views of the city. For beautiful scenery without having to leave the ground, take a stroll through the Royal Botanical Gardens. Home to over a million plant and tree species, it’s the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy stunning harbour views.
