MELBOURNE ARTS & MEDIA MUMS (MAMMs) – CALL FOR MEMBERS

MAMMs is a support group for women in the arts, media and entertainment industries – either working full-time, part-time or not currently working – and aims to provide opportunities for women to discuss common issues and concerns, network and generally share their experiences of being working Mums in this sector.

While there are other working mother support groups around, MAMMs feels our industry is unique…Some of us work for large media organisations, some of us head big international festivals, others of us run our own small businesses and even more of us freelance our services for various events, shows, companies, festivals and tours.

Keeping in the loop is almost more important than staying in the game – which can be hard if we want to take some time off to start / continue a family and then combine both work and family without jeopardising either of them.

You’re a MAMM if you’re a mumma to be or mumma with children to six years of age and you work in Melbourne’s arts and media industries – from presenters to journalists, producers, publicists…. All Welcome.

Please email Emma Calverley at emma@redwall.com.au if you are interested in signing up. Membership is free.

MAMMs aim is to present a function in the coming months and invite guest speakers to talk about how they have faced and conquered the challenges of being a working showbiz mother! So all we need is your name, contact number, what you do or whom you work for and your email address. JOIN NOW!
