Kerryn McCann – A fighter to the end

9 December 2008 by Deborah Robinson

Tributes are pouring in for dual Commonwealth Games marathon Gold medallist, Kerryn McCann, who passed away from breast cancer at her home near Wollongong in New South Wales on Sunday night. Kerryn was surrounded by the love of her family – husband Greg and their 3 small children, Benton 11, Josie 5 and baby Cooper, 14 months. She was 41. The family has asked for privacy at this difficult time.

The family has requested that no flowers be sent, but instead they welcome donations to Breast Cancer Network Australia (www.bcna.org.au) or to the McGrath Foundation (www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au).

Details of funeral arrangements will be announced later this week.
