AUSBUY has created an iPhone Application that will make it easier for Australian consumers to choose products that are produced in Australia, by Australian Owned companies. The AUSBUY iPhone app gives consumers the ability to scan a product barcode to immediately find out if it is an AUSBUY Approved product.

The app also allows consumers to browse a list of Australian products which are grouped by categories; search for a specific product or brand; keep up-to-date with AUSBUY news; and share your favourite Australian products on Facebook, Twitter and via Email.

AUSBUY, a not-for-profit organisation that represents Australian owned businesses exclusively, says Australian businesses are under pressure from overseas manufacturers and they need the support of Australian consumers to stay in business.

The AUSBUY iPhone app is compatible iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad.

Australian consumers can download the AUSBUY app from iTunes at the special introductory price of $1.99 (normally $2.99) until 30th March 2012.
