Sydney’s Martin Place was the setting for a new Guinness World Record for the world’s largest makeup class on 20 September 2012.
To achieve the record, a minimum of 250 people were required to participate in a ten minute makeup lesson, which required all participants to follow a beauty demonstration and apply three makeup products – mascara, blush and lipstick.
A new world record was achieved on Thursday when 261 people successfully completed the makeup lesson taught by Priceline’s makeup artist, Helen Dowsley.
The Guinness World Records event, was part of Priceline Pout Day, a fund raising event to support Australian women through the Priceline Sisterhood and its charity partner, Look Good…Feel Better, which supports women who are going through cancer treatment.
Money for Look Good…Feel Better was raised via donations to participate in the Guinness World Records event and an additional donation of $20,000 from Bourjois – who also supplied the makeup used by those who gave up their lunch-hour on a work day, to achieve the new world record.
