The Women in Global Business (WIGB) Mentoring Program encourages Australian business women to participate in international export and trade. The program provides support to less experienced business women by connecting them with mentors who have experience in international trade and investment.

The Women in Global Business Mentoring Program is currently looking for both Mentors and Mentees.

Mentors will share their knowledge and experiences on a voluntary basis, providing advice to the Mentee and opportunities for the mentee to learn and grow. Sharing challenging experiences and successes are essential factors in the success of the mentor/mentee relationship. Mentors must be active exporters to qualify for participation in the program.

The benefits for Mentors include: professional growth, networking opportunities, personal growth, professional recognition and status, and the satisfaction from giving something back.

Mentees will be less experienced internationally and will learn to develop their capabilities and skills within a supportive framework. Mentees are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of $250 + GST for the 10 month program.

The benefits for Mentees include: professional development, networking opportunities and introductions, personal growth, skills development, business growth.

Registrations for the WIGB Mentoring Program will close on 31 December 2012. Click Here to register.

Women in Global Business is supported by State and Territory Governments and the Australian Government through Austrade. For more information visit the website: www.wigb.gov.au
