Minerals Resource Rent Tax open for consultation

The Minerals Resource Rent Tax Bill 2011 is now open for public consultation. If you’re a business owner, an industry expert or have a keen interest in this topic, becoming involved in the consultation process will help give Australian small businesses a bigger voice in how industry operates.

Whether your business is big or small, it’s important to have your say on government policy and regulation that might affect the future of your industry. And when you register on our Business Consultation website you’ll be joining over 2 000 businesses who are doing just that!

Each month, around 15 consultations are posted on the website for businesses, industry experts and individuals to provide their feedback and comments.

Consultations can be on any topic that affects business. Some of the most recent consultations include:

  • minerals resource rent tax bill (open)
  • resolution of small business disputes (open)
  • national business names registration system
  • proposal to reduce the minimum alcohol content in Australian produced wine
  • reforming flood insurance.

If you haven’t had your say on these topics, register now so you can be part of future consultations.
