New Point of Sale sign for retailers

Tuesday 14 June 2011

A new Point of Sale sign is now available to Australian retailers to raise awareness of retailer and consumer rights under the Australia Consumer Law (ACL).

The sign is designed to allow your customers to understand their rights to refunds and returns as they make their purchase. It also allows you to communicate your legal rights as a business when an item is not eligible for return.

As refund and repair claims can be a common source of dispute between consumers and traders, placing the sign at the point-of-purchase may help reduce these instances.

To download the sign, or for more information on the ACL, visit the Australian Consumer Law website.
