Sam did, and women and fashion editors alike fell for its fresh, simple shape. Kate Spade’s sam medium satchel in supple suede is true to the original silhouette and features a crinkle patent leather-effect lining in a pop of color. Kate Spade added a removable wristlet pouch that fits into the interior slip pocket and an optional crossbody strap with jewelry-like hardware (texting was not a thing in the ’90s), along with tiny feet on the bottom to keep it pristine for years to come. The foil embossed logo is an iconic finishing touch.
