shutterstock_129551231The winter season is synonymous with extra kilos – it’s all those super hearty meals that add a few inches to the waistline as the colder months tick by. But did you know a casual romp under the covers could actually help keep those kilos at bay?

For those that can’t find the time or energy to exercise, this is the one for you… Introducing winter sex. Time in bed with your partner is the best way to kick your metabolism into gear. A half hour of sex burns 85 calories – treadmill, step aside please.

Just as you would brush your teeth every morning and take a shower at night, you should also include regular sex as an autopilot activity. Why? Because it’s good for your health and we believe an orgasm a day keeps the doctor away!

Pregnant woman are often told that they’re glowing. The coveted ‘glow’ is a result of the increased blood circulation that occurs during sex, which actively pumps oxygen into your skin and eliminates all those nasty toxins. Ladies, sex may indeed be the fountain of youth.

And if you haven’t already heard the news, new research has revealed that men have healthier sperm in winter than in summer. Israeli scientists have found that in winter sperm is produced in greater numbers, with faster swimming speeds and fewer abnormalities. It’s no surprise that autumn holds the highest rate of welcoming newborn babies!

We all know that winter is the perfect time to go into hibernation. Think Friday nights spent snuggled up on the couch after a long week at work, with a glass of red wine, and your favourite string of rom-coms with famously steamy sex scenes. Naturally this setting gets you in the mood for a bit of fun in the bedroom with your darling male friend. You’ve worked hard all week, you deserve it!

For those that are looking to spice things up after dark then we highly recommend you think outside the box. Of course there will be candles and roses on the bed (cliché) but we think fun trumps romance this winter. We love the idea of chocolate body paint, lingerie, and sex in locations that add the risk factor or even a sex toy if you are feeling a little daring. Sex toys are a suc-sex if they don’t alienate either partner, that’s why we enjoy the We-Vibe. It offers mutual pleasure and is something fun to be enjoyed during deed, while keeping things really intimate and satisfying for you both.

The summer season is spent frolicking around and touching base with all your social groups with little time left for the bedroom, luckily winter provides lovers with the opportunity to reconnect with your partners. Winter can get pretty chilly so the only way for you to make it hotter is by jumping under the sheets and sharing some body heat – turn off the heater because things are heating up this winter under the covers!
