Writing an essay is a major component of many international exams, and it is a common assignment in universities and colleges. Not only is this a way to express your opinions and demonstrate the mastery of a topic, but it is also an opportunity for your instructor to find out what kind of student you are. Despite the fact that writing can be very difficult, there are some techniques you can use to accomplish this task quickly and successfully. Or you can ask our writing service company for help.

A Few Practical Tips

If you are free to choose the topic of your essay, do it because you are most likely to choose a topic that you know a lot about, which will increase your chances of getting a higher score. Additionally, if you choose the topic, you are more likely to be more passionate in your writing, which will result in you piquing the reader’s interest.

Do not forget about the characteristics of a good composition. Your paper should clearly express your views without deviating from the topic, and it should be concise and logically structured while avoiding grammatical and spelling mistakes.

Typical Structure

The general structure of a five paragraph essay is as follows:

  • Introduction
  • Main Body
  • Conclusion

Let’s consider each of the blocks in more detail.

The introduction should contain a brief description of the problem and a to-the-point thesis statement where your opinion is clearly illustrated. The introductory paragraph is usually two or three sentences long, and its purpose is to catch the attention of the reader.

The main body is where you support the opinion expressed in your introduction. It is better to divide the main body into several paragraphs in accordance with various aspects of the problem you are addressing. This will show that you are able to structure your thoughts, and it will also make your paper easier to read.

In this part of the paper, you should use statistics and facts to support your premise. This will show the reader that you are logical and not trying to mislead him with emotional appeals.

The conclusion emphasizes the main idea of your composition, by allowing a brief enumeration of the main arguments and proving the correctness of your arguments.

Seven Tips for Writing an Essay

If you follow these seven bits of advice when you are writing, you will do fine:

  • Write about a wide range of topics in your free time for practice
  • Make sure you understand the question correctly
  • Do not hurry when drawing up an outline
  • Clearly structure your essay
  • Achieve a balance between narrative, description, and opinion
  • Make lists of keywords and expressions that you can use on a wide range of topics
  • Read as much as possible

Many of these tips are part of a process called “pre-writing” by writers. Pre-writing will help you to organize your thoughts and paper in a way that will greatly enhance your ability to write.

Two of the points that should not be ignored are the ones that advise you to read and write in your free time. Reading will not only expose you to new ideas, but it will expose you to different writing styles which you can follow. Writing in your free time will help you to improve your composition skills. You can write essays, short stories, or poetry; it doesn’t matter what you write, just write often and write well.

Writing can be quite a difficult task, even for those who excel at it. That is why these tips are here for you!
