The Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing has established a new, national hotline for the public to receive health information about the outbreak overseas of Swine Flu.

THE NUMBER IS 1802007

In a statement released to the media yesterday afternoon, Queensland’s Chief Health Officer, Dr Jeannette Young said that the two suspected cases reported in Queensland have been cleared. But that anyone who had been in Mexico, the USA or Canada recently and became ill within seven days of leaving should consult their GP or a hospital emergency department, particularly if they have any flu-like symptoms.

The latest information on the outbreak of Swine Influenza can be obtained from the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing website www.health.gov.au
