If you’re anything like me – baulking over every family dinner you ever cook – you’ll be thrilled to know you can now slip Nigella Lawson into your hip pocket and whip up a culinary nightly storm in the kitchen.

Renowned and admired for her simple, quick as a flash, unpretentious meals, Nigella is a busy mum’s dream in the kitchen. Not wanting to spot her gorgeous cookbooks with the odd splash of meat sauce, I’m loving the idea that I can app Nigella and simply wipe her screen clean every time I delve into the nightly meal.

Random House have only today announced the Nigella Quick Collection App is available on the App Store. Nigella’s Quick Collection is an outstanding cookery app for iPhone and iPod touch that brings together exclusive recipes, video and audio alongside unique features and cutting edge technology designed to make a busy life easier, and bring inspiration and advice to users from Nigella, wherever they are.

The App offers invaluable features which aim to revolutionize cooking. You can add your own notes by text or voice, email a recipe from the app to print out for the kitchen, browse and search according to your mood or what’s in the fridge, send dinner invitations to friends using Facebook Connect or email and even use voice control to keep sticky fingers away from iPhone or iPod touch.

Love it! All the recipes in the Nigella Quick Collection App are express-style easy and presented in just six steps or under, giving users the wherewithal to make super-quick weekday suppers, last minute dinners for friends, baking that takes no time, and even fun food for children.

There are 70 recipes in all, specially selected by Nigella, including 10 newbies.Tempted? Head to the iTunes App Store and check it out yourself. Meet you there!
