Many of today’s businesses can operate internationally without having solid presences in different countries. The internet allows us to provide products and services all over the world while based in one country. However, you might feel that you want to increase your presence in different countries. You still want to operate from the country you live in, but you want more attention from elsewhere. Sometimes this happens organically, but other times you have to try and make it happen. Here are some ways you can make it possible.

Create Local Contact Points

One of the first things you can do is give yourself an illusion of having a presence in a certain country. Companies regularly use local phone numbers that go to call centres in other countries, for example. Of course, you will probably want to have the calls come through to you. You can set up local numbers in the places where you want to grow your presence. It’s also a good idea to have a registered business address. You can find a registered office address provider so that people can send mail there. It can then be forwarded to you where you need it.

Appoint Staff in Other Countries

If you want to take a further step, you could recruit staff in different countries. You don’t necessarily have to hire full-time employees. You can use freelancers and virtual assistants to perform various tasks for you. They could act as a receptionist or advice agent. They could provide customer service, or be your representative for various tasks. For example, you could hire bloggers to attend local events for networking or reviewing. This enables you to have a human point of contact to start moving into other countries.

Globalise Your SEO

Search engine optimisation is important for any business with an online presence. If you want to gain attention from across the globe, you need to make your SEO international. This might mean just targeting your ads so that they bring in people in other countries. However, you might also want to consider other languages. You could also have adverts in various languages. But you need to think about your website and other materials too. Translating your website and perhaps having social media pages in different languages could help to draw in more people. However, you have to be careful, and it’s best to hire an SEO expert.

Look for Expansion Opportunities

You might want to go even further to try to establish your business abroad. There are several things you could do. One of the things you might consider is a franchise or similar system so that other people can sell your products or services. You could export your products to sell them in stores elsewhere. You could also go further and open an office or set up another type of presence in another country.

You don’t have to launch an expensive campaign to make your business presence more global. It’s possible to do it on a smaller scale too.
