Top Tips For A Healthy YouBeing healthy is not all about going to the gym or doing heavy workouts. We get it, you don’t want a muscular body, you just want to be healthy. And, gyms really are not the health stations, so you don’t have to feel guilty or jealous when you encounter those musclemen while commuting to work.

Here are some other ways you can get your dose of health and happiness every day.

1. Sleep right

Everyone has their own favorite posture- like curling up in a tight ball or making pillow out of your hands. For better sleep, you don’t need to change your posture. What you need to change is the mattress underneath you.

If you sleep on your stomach, then go for a hard mattress. For side sleepers, soft memory foam mattress would be a better a choice. Mattress type is highly subjective, so do your research and browse for mattresses online that puts you to sleep within 30 minutes.

Remember, you spend 8 hours of your life on bed. Buying the right mattress is like buying a good health and a better morning.

2. Don’t sit for long

When you sit down, all electrical activity in your leg muscles shut down. Long hours of sitting is bad for health. In fact, those who sit for over 3 hours watching TV are 64% more likely to drop dead from heart diseases.

If you don’t want that, then stand up every once an hour and move your legs.

Also, while sitting, try to recline in a 135 degree angle. It shall put less strain on your back.

3. Let your body soak some sunlight

It’s a known fact that sunlight helps absorb the calcium in your body, and makes your bone strong. What you might not know that sunlight also saves you from heart diseases, diabetes, cancers, relieves muscle stiffness and even cures some skin disorders. So, a little bit of sunlight daily can actually keep the doctor away.

4. Stay hydrated

Did you know that your brain is made up of 75% water? So, drinking as many glasses of water can help you focus and think better at work. It can even cure headaches.

Plus, water is like fuel to the body, helping energize your tired muscles, flush out the toxins, regulate body temperature and, guess what, even give you beautiful and smoother skin.

5. Walk 10,000 steps every day

Walking helps burn calories. Even if you don’t do any exercises, at least make a point to walk 10,000 steps every day. For example, rather than ordering pizza at home, why not walk to the nearby grocery store, and buy some fresh fruits?

Morning walks in a nearby park are best for the body, but if you can’t handle that at least spend 30 mins walking around your neighborhood or on the terrace,

6. Do good, feel good

In trying to look healthy, people have forgotten that health is not just about a fit body, but rather a fit mind too.

To keep yourself safe from psychological conditions, urge yourself to do small acts of kindness for other people, even strangers. Doing good things will help release oxytocin in your body. Oxytocin, which is known as the cuddle hormone does more than bringing couples closer. It helps you forge better social relations, and can even heal wounds and relieve pains.

Even acts like shaking hands or hugging someone will release small doses of oxytocin, that can make you feel good and prevent psychological disorders.

Conclusion
There are a million more ways to stay healthy. But you don’t have to know it all. Just make at least ten healthy habits, and you can a live a little longer than the rest doing things you love. Plus, the perk of being healthy is that you have to pay less medical bills, and enjoy a happy life with your friends and family.
