Textile, Clothing and Footwear Small Business Program

Business owner - clothing storeIs your business in the textile, clothing or footwear industry? If so, the Textile, Clothing and Footwear Small Business Program (TCF SBP) helps small businesses like yours to grow by providing funding for projects. Funded projects cover areas such as: business strategy and mentoring; marketing and branding; manufacturing process upgrades; e-commerce; and export opportunity development.

Applications for the current round of funding close 1 March 2013 and free workshops will run until early February for business owners that want help improving their application.

Visit the AusIndustry website to apply for a grant of up to $50,000, or to register for a workshop in your state or territory.

The Textile, Clothing and Footwear (TCF) Small Business Program provides grants of up to $50,000 for projects to improve the business enterprise culture of established TCF small businesses that have not received grants or qualify for assistance from other TCF programs. TCF small businesses must manufacture an eligible TCF product in Australia, or design an eligible TCF product for manufacture in Australia. They must have fewer than 20 employees; have a minimum turnover of $100,000; and provide a minimum cash contribution to the project of 25% of eligible expenditure.

The program is competitive and applications are assessed on merit. If successful, projects can run for up to 12 months duration from 1 July. Funding of $2.5 million is available per year over a ten year program period, which commenced in 2006/07.
