5 Trivial Instances That Can Turn into Big Family DisputesRegardless of how close a family is, they will have disputes. Often times, these arguments start out as something very simple and trivial and then turn into a nasty family dispute. All it takes is a raised voice and a few insults on the spur of the moment to turn something small into something major.

Below are 5 examples of how trivial instances can turn into major family disputes.

#1 Excessive Spending

One of the major arguments that occur in a family is due to one spouse spending too much money. If one spouse is a saver and another is a spender, it can cause serious problems. When the credit card bill comes in and the saver in the family sees what the spender in the family is wasting their hard-earned money on, a simple discussion can turn into a major blowout.

#2 Laziness

When one spouse is doing all of the household chores and the other is doing nothing, it can cause a rift in the family’s harmony. The spouse who is doing all of the work will eventually start to resent the spouse who is doing nothing at all. In the perfect situation, the household chores would be divided between both spouses and they would all get done. Unfortunately, we don’t live in a perfect world and this is not always how things work. A small argument about household chores can easily get out of control as the spouse doing all of the work begins to get fed up.

#3 Clogged Drains

There is nothing more annoying than trying to do something in the home when the drains are clogged. The reason for the clogged drains is often due to hair or grease accumulating in the drain. It is not uncommon for family members to blame each other for the clogged drains when they get frustrated. In order to make the fighting stop quickly, a commercial plumber can come into the home to unclog the drains. This will make everyone happy.

#4 Forgetting to Pay a Bill

Most people with families live very busy lives. Between work, social engagements, spending time with the family, and taking care of regular household responsibilities, it can be easy to forget to do things every now and again. If one spouse is responsible for paying the bills and they forget, it can result in a very serious argument. This is especially true if the late payment results in late fees or if it would have a negative effect on their credit report. If the person in charge of the finances were to put a reminder to pay bills on their cell phone, they could avoid the late payments and the family fights altogether.

#5 Fighting Over the Remote

It may sound like a very trivial reason to argue, however, it is a common argument among both the kids and the adults in the house. When one person in the house wants to watch one television program and someone wants to watch another, it can cause family disputes and debates. There is really no way to stop these fights except for one person to back down and watch their favorite show in another room. Someone has to be the bigger person and give in. If both parties are stubborn, the fight could go on forever.

It is normal for families to fight once in a while. If the family is able to recognize that their tiny fights are turning into huge problems, they can take things down a notch and put things into perspective. This is important for the happiness of the family.
