Beauty Treatments You Don't Need To Go Under The Knife For

Some people will go to extreme measures to keep their youthful looks. Many women choose to have plastic surgery. Even though the results are usually fantastic, this is quite an extreme step to take. Patients will need to spend some nights in hospital as it involves having an operation. It is for this reason that many people are not so keen to resort to calling a plastic surgeon.

There are plenty of other beauty treatments you can have that will help you turn back the years. And none of them require you to go under the surgeon’s knife! So if you want to stay looking young but are slightly squeamish, there is still plenty you can do! And here is our guide to going about it.

Laser Eye Treatment

Our eyes are one of the first areas of our face to age. It is here where all the tell-tale signs of aging like to hide! You can buy various eye creams that can help reduce the speed at which the skin around your eyes will age. However, one thing the creams won’t be able to help is your eyesight. As we grow older, our eyesight begins to fade. As a result, many of us will need to start wearing glasses. Often, people associate glasses with old age. So there is no wonder that some people would rather not wear them! There is an alternative, though. You can have laser eye treatment. This is a procedure that uses lasers to change your vision and correct any issues. Almost everyone can have this procedure done. To find out more, book a consultation at your nearest Laser Eye Centre. A consultant will be able to tell you everything about the process. He can also explain any possible side effects. Some people experience sore eyes straight after the procedure, but the soreness will go away after a few days.

Facials

If you have ever visited a spa before, you probably already know what a facial is. During a facial, a masseuse will use various massage techniques to refresh and invigorate the skin. For the best possible results, you should have a facial every couple of months. This will help your skin protect itself against any seasonal effects that are caused by weather changes. The beauty therapist will use a range of creams and oils on your skin. These will be different kinds of moisturizers and exfoliators. By doing this, any dead skin cells will be removed, and your skin will be replenished with lots of healthy nutrients. At the end of your facial, your skin will glow!

Mole Removal

Moles can be all shapes and colors. These little blemishes can be located anywhere on the skin’s surface. On the whole, moles are completely harmless. However, it is always important to get them checked out by a doctor if they change shape or color. If they do change, it could be a sign of skin cancer. For some people, though, moles can cause a lot of problems. Those with large moles on their faces or other visible body areas may have a problem with body confidence and self-esteem. For this reason, a few people have their moles removed. Mole removal is very simple and, even though a very small operation is required, it is a non-invasive procedure. This is because you are kept awake and can be treated as an outpatient. Some moles can even be shaved off. Speak to your dermatologist about the best method for you. One of the pros of mole removal is that there are relatively few side effects, which means the recovery period takes no time at all.

Laser Skin Treatments

Lasers aren’t only good for correcting vision problems. They also work wonders on your skin too! One way they can make you more beautiful is by reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Getting rid of wrinkles this way can also improve your complexion. Visit your local dermatologist for a consultation on this procedure. One thing to bear in mind is that the results of the process will gradually wear off, so you could have to go back for repeat visits. Lasers can also help to reduce the appearance of birthmarks. More often than not, birthmarks are not a problem. However, they can sometimes cover parts of the face, which can cause self-confidence issues for those affected. In this procedure, intense rays of light are shone onto the problem area to destroy the birthmarks pigmentation. It is very possible that you will need a whole course of this treatment rather than a one-off session. There are a few side effects sometimes caused by this technique. Some patients complain that their skin feels hot as if it has been sunburnt. The good news is that this will only last for a couple of days.

Chemical Skin Peels

If you would rather not have lasers pointed at your face, try a chemical skin peel. It is rather like wearing a face mask. The chemicals in the peel will exfoliate your skin. But to a much better standard than any shop-bought exfoliators can do. This is another procedure that your dermatologist can do for you. As with many of these treatments, there is the chance of some mild side effects. You could experience swelling and redness of the face. However, these will subside after a few days. Chemical skin peels can help your skin look much younger. However, the results can fade slightly. Some people like to go back for a repeat skin peel every six months, so their skin continues to look its best.

There are of course lots of over-the-counter products you can buy that can help reduce the effects of wrinkles. However, none will be as effective as the treatments listed in this blog post. And the best thing about this list is that none of them are invasive. Meaning recovery times are very low, and any side effects will be mild. Not only that but you’ll notice a great boost in your confidence!
