First Career Steps For A Young Woman In AustraliaHow can you land a job at the all important job interview? How can you pass it with style and chic? What will your first steps be? Find the answers here.

A Woman In Business: Where Can You Start?

The summer is about to end. Vacations are left behind, and it is by far the perfect time to get a hold of the perfect job. The process is tricky, especially for beginners. Fear not, this post will teach about everything young and prominent ladies need to know about amazing opportunities.
Both women and man alike find the process of job-seeking rather intimidating and mostly unsatisfying. Expectations are high, and market offers are low. And yet, finding the first job is like a walk in the park, if you know how and where to look.

Experienced HR managers reveal a handful of secrets

You already have all it takes to land on the perfect position. Your skills, passions and even personal experience are already on point for any possible entry position if not more. The only problem you might face is pitching yourself to potential employers, say C-level HR managers.

About 80% of candidates fail during the interview phase. Not before or after. This is a happening that’s related to global unawareness of what the employment market desires. Many young ladies tend to believe they should be telling their personal story and that the answers to the interviewer’s questions have any relation with personal qualities.

But if your resume has words like “passionate”, “engaged”, “good with teamwork” and etc. you are risking to bore the HR from the first sight. Experienced recruiters have already seen it all for millions of times and have already lost faith in any of that generic hypocrisy. Don’t gamble with your first impression; there are plenty of best casino sites online for that. And, unlike the casino scenario, the odds are REALLY against you and your generic CV.

So what are the best industry practices?

First and foremost, create a LinkedIn account. This social media platform for professionals is insanely popular today. But be careful with it. Here are several tips:

  • Your page title should represent your professional skills;
  • Your profile picture is to be of the highest quality and it should be your face, not a shot from a party or a funny image;
  • Pay attention to what you post – don’t do cat memes, focus on profile-related business news.

This approach will assure that great recruiters will come to you, not the other way around. Additionally, format your CV a bit. Ensure it provides details about the issues you have faced and the exact path you have chosen to overcome them. Tell a story with your CV. A story of progress!
