Google has announced a new initiative designed to guide Australian small and medium sized businesses through the process of online marketing: the AdWords Online Classroom.

Through the AdWords Online Classroom Australian small businesses can get free online training in more than a dozen AdWords topics, available for viewing at any time. To fit in with the busy schedules of small business owners, the courses are only 15-20 minutes long.

AdWords users can log-in, select the courses they want to tune into, or just follow one of the suggested topics, depending on their knowledge level:

Getting Started – Learn how to create a successful account and navigate through it, and then track performance with the simple, free Conversion Tracking tool.

Improving Account Performance — Review tips for using your account data to improve performance, as well as optimization tips for search advertising and advertising on relevant websites.

Expert Knowledge — Take online conversions to the next level with Google Analytics and Conversion Optimiser, and take your website to the next level of performance with Website Optimiser.

Google’s hands-on experience with tens of thousands of small business owners shows that the most successful advertisers are those who invest a bit of time to improve their knowledge of online advertising.
