The notion behind take-away food outlets is that you get a meal that’s fast, convenient, affordable and tasty, however now there’s something new on offer to hungry customers who enjoy eating out. Australian healthy food franchise, SumoSalad, this week launches their first ever Black Label concept store, which in addition to offering the traditional healthy take-away option that SumoSalad is famous for, will now incorporate an exclusive fine dining experience for customers in the evening.
An exciting and entirely new direction for the brand, the inaugural SumoSalad Black Label store will open in Doncaster in Victoria tomorrow, 26th June, and according to Managing Director for SumoSalad, they’re expecting it to be a huge success!
“With our new Black Label concept, we’re really taking healthy fast-food to the next level by catering for those customers who love the taste and health benefits of the SumoSalad menu, but want to actually dine in, in an appealing, restaurant style environment. It will also be great for those who want to eat out in the evening but are after a faster and more relaxed service than most traditional restaurants,” says Baylis.
The new SumoSalad Black Label store will feature a centralised Teppanyaki style hot plate and cooking area so customers can see food prepared fresh in front of their eyes, with sleek, marble stone bench tops and warm lighting as part of the new store design. In the evenings, a variety of grilled fish and tender meats with a choice of gourmet side salads or grilled vegetables will be offered as main courses in addition to regular SumoSalad menu items such as large gourmet salads, soups, wraps, organic coffee and more.
Three more SumoSalad Black Label stores are due to open in Sydney Airport, London and Dubai, with additional ones possibly on the agenda for this fast growing brand.
“The Black Label concept and other current developments happening at SumoSalad make it a very exciting time for us. This year marks our fifth birthday and we feel we’ve come a long way since our first store in Sydney in 2003. There are also numerous blue ribbon SumoSalad franchise opportunities available now in VIC and other areas, so this could be a great time for potential franchisees to jump on board the brand,” adds Baylis.
SumoSalad was recently listed as the fastest growing food franchise in Australia by BRW Magazine and currently has over 60 outlets across Australia, with several more in Dubai, London and soon New Zealand. They also recently appointed renowned culinary Olympic chef, Peter Wright, to assist with new menu developments for the brand.
