LinkedIn has already attracted 100 million professionals, business owners and companies since its establishment.

Being a professional social networking site, it has also greatly helped its members in a variety of ways, from connecting with past and present colleagues and employers to promoting businesses and attracting potential employers, employees and clients.

But other than its main networking function, LinkedIn has useful features that help users gain and share valuable information including business tips and strategies from the experts.

One of the most powerful features of this social media site, is the Question and Answer section which can be used by members to ask a question about any issue they’re facing or answer a question that other users have posted.

For those who want to boost their credibility as an expert in their field and provide people with quick solutions to their problems, answering a question on LinkedIn can be really helpful. By doing so, you’re not only sharing your expertise but you’re helping professionals solve their issues easily.

There are many topics covered in the Question and Answer section. You just have to choose your field of expertise and you can provide answers right away.

How to Answer a Question on LinkedIn
To search for this section, you need to go to the More category on the top middle part of your profile page. It’s beside the News category.

Click on Answers which is the first item in the drop down menu that appears when you hover your mouse on the More category.

When you’re on the Answers and Questions page, you can directly click on your preferred question below the page or click the Answer Questions category on the top right beside Ask a Question.

To help LinkedIn members with their concerns, you can choose from the list of available questions that are very familiar to you and with which you have extensive knowledge.  You can then answer the question using your own words and tapping into your expertise.  It’s fast and easy to answer a question as it only takes a minute or so.

Just click on the question you’d like to answer and you will be directed to a new page.

Proceed by clicking the yellow Answer button. A box will then open where you can type your answer.

Hit Submit once you’re done.

You also have the choice when looking at questions to answer to recommend an expert among your connections who you think is capable of providing the right answer.

To do this, simply click the Select Expert button and then Select from your list of connections.

In addition to your answer, you can also include any website URLs which support the information you’ve provided in your answer.
This is another way of helping LinkedIn users find fast answers to their questions.

The best part about answering questions on LinkedIn is you get featured on the Answers home page if you frequently share information. You may also be highlighted as one of the Experts on the category of the questions you’ve answered.
